FOB ... (named port of shipment)
The seller’s main obligations :
- deliver the goods on board the vessel nominated by the buyer at the named port of shipment or procure the goods already so delivered ;
- pay the carriage expense to the agreed port of shipment and the charges for loading on board the vessel ;
- carry out the customs formalities for the export and security-related clearances.
The buyer’s main obligations :
- Take delivery of the goods after they have been loaded on board the vessel at the named port of shipment ;
- contract for the carriage of the goods from the named port of shipment.
